Leeuwarden, 7 oktober 2008 - The ‘Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden’ selects the Educator solution. The Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden will use Educator to implement their innovation vision.

After a thorough analysis the Noorderlijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden (NHL) selected the Educator Solution. Educator will be used to implement the NHL educational innovation. This innovation entails the introduction of a demand driven education model centered around both knowledge and competencies. Educator combines definition (curriculum development), planning (master planning and scheduling), execution (portfolio management, learning management) and qualification (degree management, academic record) services. Both classical educational models as well as flexible innovative models are supported.

‘Student information systems nor e-learning solutions offer solutions of today’s problems. Demand driven education throughout the entire carrier of students and employees requires fundamental different solutions. The Educator team did convince our selection team and showed strong domain and technical knowledge’, says Harry Renting, director of the NHL. ‘Educator is a composite application using native SOA principles. This means that the application consists of process agnostic business services as well as business process orchestration services. It provides the NHL a flexible future proof solution set’.

The Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden is a University of Professional Education. The NHL has more than 10000 students and is located in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands)
